You will have the opportunity to acquire the initial skill set needed to safely utilize Ultrasound in your clinical practice through hands on live scanning with a small class size and skilled instructors. Everything from how an ultrasound image is created to placing advanced UltraSound Guided Regional Anesthesia (USGRA) peripheral nerve blocks. The ce2 USGRA and Vascular Access course is designed specifically for CRNAs … By CRNAs. Heavy hands-on ultrasound scanning throughout the course.

Case based brachial plexus region USGRA approaches for Shoulder and Upper extremity procedures.

10:00-12:00 (2 CEUs)

Ultrasound Vascular Access: Central line placement, A-line placement, PIV placement assessment of needle trajectory and target acquisition.

12:00-12:30 (0.5 CEUs)

Working lunch: Discussion of Nerve Block Additives: What we add, why and the role of off label drug use in clinical practice

12:30-15:00 (2.5 CEUs)

Case based femoral nerve and sciatic nerve USGRA approaches for hip/knee and lower extremity procedures.

15:00-16:00 (1 CEU)

Open Scanning with instructors: Review blocks from the day, answer questions

Case based Transversus Abdominus Plane (TAP Block) USGRA approaches for abdominal procedures.

10:00-11:00 (1 CEU)

Case based USGRA approaches for anterior chest procedures using Paravertebral and PECS 1/PECS 2 blocks.

11:00-12:00 (1 CEU)

Case based applications of neuraxial region scanning for Epidural procedures.

12:00-13:00 (1 CEU)

Putting it all together: Open scanning with instructors and case based scenarios.

Registration Cancellation Policy

If you are not able to attend this event, you must notify the CE^2 in writing. The cancellation fee schedule is listed below:
– 31 days or more prior to event – 20 percent of registration fee; remainder will be refunded.
– 16-30 days prior to event – 50 percent of registration fee; remainder will be refunded.
– 0-15 days prior to event – no refund because the expense of your anticipated participation has already been incurred.
